In 2016, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart joined forces with MTV to host the Movie Awards. When you’re two of the biggest stars in Hollywood, you’re also two of the busiest — and that means limited time for a promo shoot. To solve this problem, we decided to announce our hosts and collect our linear, social & digital marketing assets all in one get go!
We created a real-time teleprompter powered by fan comments on social media, that gave Dwayne & Kevin movie-inspired commands to improv around. We then livestreamed the entire shoot across every major social platform, and furthered the reach by pushing not only through MTV’s accounts, but also to Dwayne Johnson & Kevin Hart’s massive social fanbases. Plus, a broadcast camera captured everything, which was cut up into tons of promos and social content that we could use through the entire season. Watch the full stream below.
